Special event at Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve: Max 50 people, no Saturdays, Sundays, or holiday weekends. Timing outside 11 am - 3 pm. No food/drink except water. Monitor required. Locations: West Overlook, Torrey Circle. Shuttle recommended for >25 people. Allowed: decorations, portable speakers, generators. Third-party vendors need insurance. Liability insurance required ($500,000 minimum).

A wild clifftop ceremony surrounded by ancient, gnarled Torrey Pine trees — one of the rarest tree species in the world, found only here and on Santa Rosa Island. Two dramatic overlooks (North and South) offer sweeping Pacific Ocean views. South-facing overlook looks toward La Jolla; North overlook toward Torrey Pines State Beach below. Max 20 guests including vendors. No setup of any kind permitted — standing ceremony only. Permitting: California State Parks permit required ($100 permit + $275-$375 site fee + $79/hour peace officer monitor for 4-hour minimum required + $12-$25 vehicle entry fee). Minimum 45 days advance notice. Certificate of insurance naming State of California required ($500,000 general liability). Critical restrictions: Events CANNOT occur between 11am-3pm. No drones, structures, generators, amplified music (acoustic only), physical barriers, or glass. Public has access during your event. Limited cell service. 15-20 minute mostly flat walk to overlooks. My wedding was planned in 2.5 months and she helped me with organizing all the vendors, advising me on what to have at the wedding and what was an excess cost, she helped me with the design of the ceremony and she answered all my millions of questions so promptly!! Our Torrey Pines elopement couldn’t have gone better. We got married overlooking the cliffs with just our close friends and family. Our planner, Cassi, was super flexible and found us an amazing photographer and officiant. Working with Wedy was such an easy process, they shared different ceremony location options, had clear pricing, and were so organized and professional.
We really enjoyed working with Carrie and the Wedy team for our Torrey Pines elopement. From the beginning, Carrie was very hands-on and had every detail outlined for us. We opted for a small ceremony by the ocean and tehn headed for a romantic picnic at the park.
