A serene alpine lake ceremony site at the southern end of Rocky Mountain National Park near the Wild Basin trailhead. The ceremony area sits lakeside among aspen groves with distant mountain peaks visible above the treeline. Max 30 guests including couple, all guests, officiant, and hired vendors. National Park Service permit required ($300 non-refundable). Restrictions: no drones, amplified music above 60 dB, flower petals/confetti/scattered materials, chairs/tables/tents/structures, elaborate decorations, generators, or food trucks. Allowed: acoustic music/quiet Bluetooth speakers, alcohol, a few chairs for guests needing to sit, bouquets, and post-ceremony photography. Flat, short walk to lakeside — minimal hiking. Up to 10 vehicles at parking near Wild Basin Trailhead. Not wheelchair accessible. Permit application: email romo_fees_permits@nps.gov with Special Use Permit form. I had NO idea how to plan a destination wedding and I was so lucky to find Wedy. Olly was my coordinator and within two days of reaching out she had my vendors scheduled, helped find lodging and a personalized timeline. It was so helpful having somebody local that was able to give insight on the time of day to hold the ceremony to get the perfect lighting, the current weather of my location, etc. All of our vendors went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make sure our day was absolutely perfect and special. This includes floral, hair and makeup, and our officiant and photographer! If you want a beautiful stress free wedding this is deff the way to go!
