A breathtaking high alpine ceremony site at 10,868 feet in the Indian Peaks Wilderness, framed by 13,000-foot granite peaks including Navajo Peak, Apache Peak, and Shoshoni Peak with Navajo Glacier visible. The lake sits in an open alpine basin with crystal-clear water reflecting surrounding peaks. Max 12 guests (groups under 8 require no permit beyond entry; groups 8–12 require a Large Group Permit at $11 via recreation.gov, with only ONE permit issued per day for the entire area). Day-use entry $12/vehicle, plus timed entry reservation required on peak summer days via recreation.gov (book immediately when released 2 weeks in advance). Commercial photography permit required.
