Historic 1898 white-painted chapel nestled in a secluded mountain valley within Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The chapel sits in an open valley surrounded by wooded ridges with roaming elk herds that frequently graze in the adjacent meadows at dawn and dusk, creating a truly unique and unforgettable backdrop. Chapel interior accommodates up to 50 guests with original wooden pews and altar. Outdoor valley areas are limited to 20 guests. NPS permit required ($50 application fee, minimum 30-day lead time). Restrictions include no sound amplification, tents, decorations, balloons, or confetti. Discrete acoustic music, battery-powered candles, and floral arrangements are permitted.
