Anna and Jess did our wedding photographs 1 year ago in Maui for our elopement and they were absolutely stunning! They captured the most intimate moments of our wedding day showing our emotions and the beauty of our wedding through their amazing talents as photographers. A year later we had Anna and Tom take pictures for our family, which again came out absolutely perfect again. Anna Kim Photography is the absolute BEST photographer on the island of Maui for any occasion. Thank you for giving us memories to last a lifetime!
After much research, we hired Anna Kim for our photo shoot during our trip to Maui. She was professional and so kind to us. She made us feel relaxed and comfortable during the shoot, and the photos came out GORGEOUS. She has a very strong aesthetic that really sets the quality of her photos apart from others. Highly recommend- worth every penny!
We had an amazing time with Nicole for our engagement photoshoot! Initially, I booked Anna but she was out of town the week we were visiting. I have two friends who have used Anna for their wedding and engagement photos in the past and highly recommended Anna and her team. This was our first time taking professional pictures so of course I was very nervous the day of but Nicole made me feel comfortable from the beginning. Surprisingly, one hour went by way too fast.. next time I will book at least 1.5 hours. We had so much fun with Nicole. She was very personable and easy going. Before we started, Nicole asked us where we wanted to start which I really appreciated. Since we knew we were taking our photos at Baldwin Beach I have known that I wanted to spend most of our time on the black rocks. I loved how the waves crashed into the rocks making our pictures looked so beautiful. I also loved how she really wanted to show off my dress and instructed me on various poses that I wouldnt have done naturally. At the end she asked us if there were any other spots or poses we wanted to do and of course I wanted to take pictures of us jumping in the air. Those are always fun! A few hours later we received 11 edited pictures and we were ecstatic. We had our shoot in the beginning of our one week vacation and it made us happy all week. It only took Nicole 2 weeks to send all of our photos back. Additionally, Anna and her team were very flexible! Our shoot was at 7am and it started raining at 6am. I texted Nicole and she assured me we could change our photoshoot if needed. Luckily, by the time we arrived to the beach the sun came out and it was just stunning outside. Would definitely use Anna and her team again. Mahalo!
I had booked the associate photographer for a surprise proposal and the pictures came out so beautiful that I’m still looking at the pictures 3 months after the fact and I plan to look at them for a very long time. The moment was perfect and the staff was very nice and helpful throughout the process. I was visiting from NYC and I was not really sure on the logistics but the team was nice enough to have a phone call or two leading up to the date. On the day, they were super discrete and were able to capture our special moment. I can’t thank them enough. Also, the price you pay is definitely worth every penny. They don’t just capture pictures, they are able to capture the essence of your most important moments that you’ll be looking back for the rest of your life. 10/5 stars from me.
My husband and I were returning to Maui for our second time to celebrate our wedding anniversary and wanted some professional photos taken of us. I found Anna Kim through Instagram and contacted her almost 8 months before my trip. She was so responsive and helpful throughout the entire process. We chose a package with her associate Amber. On the day of our photos Amber was such a joy to work with! She made my husband and I feel comfortable in front of the camera and was able to capture photos that depicted us perfectly as a couple. Our gallery was ready with in 4 weeks and I can not say enough great things about our experience! The photos are amazing quality and we have so many to choose from. We are planning to return to the island and will definitely be contacting Anna and her team again!

It was our first photoshoot as a family with our 18 month old... and of course, the day we we were scheduled, our 18 month old had been up all night with a GI bug. Anna was extremely responsive and was able to move our shoot to later that week. Throughout the shoot, she was so professional and so easy to work with. She gave us some guidance but let us do our thing. Our 18 month old wasn't the most cooperative so we were nervous about the photos, but they turned out amazing. Thank you so much Anna for giving us the best permanent memory from our week in Maui!!
We were here to celebrate my parents’ 45th anniversary and ours 10th anniversary. I came across Anna’s website during a search for photographers in Maui. We were in luck, when we received the email that Anna was available to shoot our pictures. It was such a pleasure meeting Anna for the first time during the photo shoot. Her personality and professionalism made us feel relaxed and special the whole time. It was not about “stand here and do this and that” with Anna, we felt like we were making a photo book together with her taking the pictures and us writing/telling the story. We couldn’t wait to see our pictures, and when the photos were available, they were truly a work of art. For the first time, I didn’t mind looking “imperfect” in pictures. I was honestly in awe when she sent over the final edit and looked through them. Every single picture was of top notch quality... I actually had a very hard time narrowing down my favorites to send to family/friends. I especially loved how Anna and her team were so laid back on our wedding day – always there to capture the candid moment or compose the right shot, but never overbearing. As a wedding photographer myself, I believe this quality is really what separates the great photographers from the rest... you barely notice they're there, but they still get the best shots.
