On our tour of the property, we knew immediately we wanted to get married here. The venue feels like something out of a fairytale. We felt that the property was very reflective of our time together in Colorado and would be an amazing experience for all of our out of state guests. It was only a quick 15 minute drive from our home and we love the town of Lyons. Our guests stayed in Boulder & Estes Park, as the venue is in the middle of the two. There are also adorable tiny homes on the property which was great for our guests with kiddos. The venue manager, Lauren, was wonderful to work with. We had a 75 degree sunny day, so we didn’t have to worry about rain but if we did the tent walls come down and you can order tent heaters. Our wedding was in early fall, so having a bonfire was wonderful and our guests enjoyed every minute of it. In addition, the year before they had an “open house” where you could go and meet with lots of vendors they work closely with. So many of our guests commented that it was the most beautiful wedding venue they had ever seen. We were so grateful that we found such a great venue and all of the vendors they work with are amazing!
We had so much fun working with Kim and the folks at the Farmette! Our wedding was wildflower themed, in place of traditional colors, so the flowers were especially important to pulling the whole thing together. We couldn’t have chosen better people to work with. Kim and the team were so wonderful, flexible, creative, and receptive to our ideas, while also taking the reins when necessary. Not only was our wedding day beautifully adorned by flowers, but we came to really adore our new Farmette friends. Thanks y’all!!
We had our wedding at The Farmette at the beginning of September and it was AMAZING! We received so many compliments from people saying it was the best wedding that have been to. The Farmette gives you the ability to customize and decorate as you please and hire your own vendors and they were super great to work with. The best part of the Farmette was using their in house coordinator, Dahlia Events and Designs, specifically, GEORGIA!! She was amazing and I do know how anything that day would have happened without her. All of the guests were even raving about her. She was on point with coordinating but also so laid back, she made me feel great the entire days and months leading up to it as well. Last but not least, we used Farmette Flowers (Kim and Helen) and they were phenomenal! I have never seen prettier flowers in my life and everything was perfection. I almost cried seeing my bouquet and the arrangements throughout the ceremony were just amazing. I couldnt have asked for a better day, place or vendors. Five stars is not enough
The Lyons Farmette is BEAUTIFUL! We are so so happy that we got married there! We were looking for a somewhat laid-back, but still beautiful and well-maintained venue for our wedding. We had actually already sort-of-decided on a different venue, but still had our tour booked at Lyons Farmette, and figured we might as well check it out. Within 5 minutes on being on the property, my husband and I both turned to each other and went "this is where we have to get married!" It is such an intimate venue, but there's enough space for a fairly large wedding to not feel crowded or cramped at all. We are so glad that we chose to have our wedding here, and all of our guests raved about it as well! We also used Farmette Flowers (the on-property florists) for our flowers, and they were absolutely stunning. Helen and her team did such an amazing job and really listened to our vision for our wedding. Everything was beautiful, and during dinner my husband and I couldn't stop talking about how much we loved all of the florals!
We got married at River Bend, which is a sister site to the Farmette. It was gorgeous! The river, the giant tree where the bar is set up, and the lovely dance patio was perfect for our wedding. They don't allow amplified music, so if you're looking for a loud, raucous dance sesh during your reception, River Bend won't do for ya. For a beautiful, outdoorsy and cozy wedding, River Bend was incredible.
We have attended and really enjoyed a few different farm dinners at the Farmette, and wanted to capture that feel for our wedding. We hosted our ceremony and reception at River Bend (Farmette's sister venue) and couldn't be happier! It was wonderful working with Darcy, Betsy, and Tracey through the whole process. The property is absolutely gorgoeus and our family and friends were blown away! So much is included in terms of facilities, furniture, and decor (especially for an ourdoor venue) that we barely had to add anything else, and everything is so well maintained and managed. Some unexpected weather moved our ceremony from under the trees into the tent, but it was beautiful and intimate and felt like it was always meant to be that way. Afterward we still enjoyed the outdoor scenery and s'mores by the fire. Darcy partnered seamlessly with our day-of coordinators; as a team they took care of everything and we are so grateful! As another perk, it was great being steps away from the tiny houses--a fun and convenient option for our guests and a great way to spend more time with them after the wedding. We loved working with Farmette Flowers as well! It is clear Helen pours her heart into what she does, and it is so special to us that our florals were grown just down the street. All of the arrangements were stunning and really elevated the look and feel of the occasion. Thank you to the whole River Bend/Farmette team!
This venue is absolutely gorgeous. Betsy has put so much thought and time into every single detail which makes this place amazing. The airstream trailer which acts as the bridal suite is so adorable and decorated beautifully. The gardens all around are lush and beautiful and there are hens, goats and alpacas on site as well! My day of manager, Tracey, was great as was the rest of the staff I hired directly from the Farmette to help with various tasks throughout the day. Everything went seamlessly and I could not have imagined a better setting to get married at. If you are looking for an outdoor venue and have a guest list of 125 max, this is the place for you!!
Just do it! Do it, do it do it! This place is seriously magical. It has everything for a bride and groom who want to feel rustic, glam, romantic, shabby chic, environmental happy. Every corner you turn, there is another magical element. A romantic fallen tree, a peaceful creek, an awesome airstream, a gorgeous garden, an amazing greenhouse. Is it llama or alpacas you want at your wedding? How about a vintage truck? Then it's the place for you! Betsy and Mike are incredibly kind and real people. Our coordinator Tracey was also top notch. If you want to WOW your guests, then just book this place. Don't even think twice about it.
This will be a long one as I used Farmette for several things : 1) venue, 2) wedding planning, 3) flowers It was a relief to have such a one stop shop but still not feel at all like I was compromising on the quality just for convenience. They all coordinated and took a lot of burden off of me. Venue - Farmette was so impressive! Their online pics are 100% accurate which is certainly not true for all the venues that I researched. I got endless compliments on the charm and beauty of the venue from my guests and it was just right for us. They are very up front about all limitations/requirements which I appreciated (even if I wished that the music/dancing could have gone later (forever)!) :) Flowers - Helen - What a great feeling to have met the person who grew, cared for and arranged my flowers from day one! I saw the catalog of Helen's work and was honestly so impressed that, once we discussed color scheme and my general look/preferences (I shared my pinterest with her), I just let her have full rein. The outcome actually brought me to tears when I saw them. The bouquets, boutonniers arrangements/centerpieces etc were so unique and gorgeous, far better than I could have ever dreamed up myself. There was a small confusion about the succulents that i ordered as favors but she was so quick to make it right that it was not even an issue. Planning - Darcy - what an actual peach I had for my wedding planner! As someone planning my wedding from long distance (and with no event experience) I was so so relieved by the level of organization and professionalism that I was given. It was um, humbling, the amount of things you don't know to think about but she was so helpful and made the last details just fall into place. Bottom line - My # biggest priority was fulfilled - on the day of I had absolutely no worries whatsoever, everything went so smoothly I just got to spend all my time and energy with the people I love and savor the event as a whole. Thank you all.
I absolutely love this venue. I think it's a beautiful place to get married. I wish we would have selected a different one only because music has to end at 10:00pm. I didn't think this would be a problem but my wedding felt SO incomplete and I'm extremely saddened by it. We were able to play about 5 songs with that amount of time.

The Farmette was started by long-time Colorado residents Betsy & Mike. With the intention of establishing a community center in Lyons, Colorado, they have brought together their passions for art, animals, locally-grown food, education & environmental sustainability. The Farmette has evolved and also hosts beautiful farm dinners and weddings. You will usually see Mike on his tractor & Betsy with the goats, hens, alpacas and llama.
