The iconic Maroon Bells Amphitheater sits at 9,580 ft elevation at the edge of Maroon Lake, offering unobstructed views of the twin 14,000-foot Maroon Bells peaks reflecting in the lake. Stone seating and natural amphitheater setup. Max 50 guests including all vendors and photographers. White River National Forest permit required ($200 via Recreation.gov, 1-year advance booking opens rolling at 8 AM MT—extremely competitive). No receptions allowed at amphitheater. Strict restrictions: no arches, decorations, amplified sound, hanging lights, or flower petals. Ceremony must conclude by 2–3 PM. No Friday/Saturday availability June–August. 5 vehicle passes included; additional guests use RFTA shuttle ($16/adult). Wheelchair accessible via paved path. Best for early morning ceremonies (peaks face east); peak season late September–early October for golden aspen foliage or mid-June–August for wildflowers.
