Shaochen is fantastic and super talented at what she does! I had the pleasure of being a part of her wedding and had the opportunity to see her work first hand. I can't get over how unique and beautiful the placement cards were that she hand made! The different colors of seed paper were used to indicate the guests' meal preferences, and when planted, should grow into wildflowers! Then she attached the whole thing to a blood orange slice to fit the fall theme. It was absolutely stunning! She also handmade all of the signs and seating charts on the coolest jugs! Her work is flawless and beautiful! All of the extra details really pulled the decor together and made her wedding truly magical! She is thorough, timely, and her work is perfection. I would highly recommend her for all your calligraphy needs!
Shaochen absolutely crushed my wedding reception table signs!! I had her write names of different places around the world that were special to my fiance and I. They turned out absolutely GORGEOUS. Better than I could have wished. This was one of the most important decor pieces of our wedding as it was personal & made a statement on the table - something that I had thought through for a long time & wanted to be just right. Shaochen was very quick in communication, packaged them beautifully & safely at the end so they were ready to go. I would 10/10 recommend her to any bride to be needing day of/calligraphy work. I PROMISE you won't be disappointed. High quality, beautiful work.
I'm so glad I found Shaochen at Monstera Gold for a very important wedding detail! I wanted to have my late father's name written on my satin wedding shoes, which is no easy task. Her portfolio is beautiful so I felt confident, but WOW did she deliver!! She was so responsive, easy to work with, and was able to help pretty last minute. Shaochen helped me with a keepsake sign for my daughter’s wedding. It is a piece of native hardwood from my family’s property in Hawaii, and so it has a great deal of meaning for my daughter and myself. Shaochen’s calligraphy is beautiful, and her professionalism and attention to detail is outstanding. Although I never got to meet her in person, in our numerous email exchanges she was so charming and personable that I felt as though I was working with an old friend.
