Sapphire Point Overlook sits above Dillon Reservoir with sweeping views of the water and the surrounding Ten Mile and Gore mountain ranges. A flat, open clearing ringed by pine trees with a dramatic 14,000-foot peak backdrop, reached by a short 0.2-mile walk from the paved parking lot. Max 30 guests including couple, photographer, officiant, and vendors. White River National Forest permit required ($120–$142 depending on season, 3-hour time block). No open flames, food/beverages, chairs, stakes, poles, amplified music, rice, flower petals, confetti, or ground disturbance allowed. Professional photography/videography vendors need a Commercial Use Authorization. Best for late afternoon golden hour light over the lake or misty morning atmosphere. Available mid-June through September, with peak golden aspen foliage late September to early October.
