Let me start by saying Sonia is absolutely incredible! I booked her for our wedding back in September, and the experience with her was nothing short of amazing. Firstly, Sonia went above and beyond because she had an earlier wedding the same day as our wedding, however, she was still able to commit and time manage both weddings without any hiccups. She started in South Lake Tahoe with her first bride very early in the morning, and then drove all the way up to Graeagle to do our makeup afterwards. I truly feel like most makeup artist wouldn’t want to double book themselves for two events in one day, but Sonia knew how important it was to us to have her there on our special day, and she did everything to make this happen for us! Secondly, the makeup on myself and my bridesmaids was absolutely stunning. Sonia listened to each girl regarding their wants and needs with their makeup, and she ensured they felt comfortable in her chair. She comes with all of her own equipment, tools, and makeup, which made everyone feel at ease because it was once less thing we had to worry about the day of! Sonia was such a pleasure to work with and she helped make our special day so perfect! If it wasn’t for her I would not have felt as confident in my bridal look, and she truly made sure that I felt beautiful that day. She was fantastic to work with, discussed the pictures I shared and different variations based on what she understood I was looking for, very communicative and quick to respond to emails and texts, and overall just a fun person to be around when we were getting ready. Sonia and her girls with Tahoe Hair & Makeup were beyond amazing! I do not wear makeup on a daily basis so I was worried about getting fake lashes and having over the top makeup on my wedding day. Sonia made my makeup look so natural yet beautiful! I received compliments all evening, especially from my husband! She also made my hair look amazing just from a few pictures and general ideas I gave her. Such a pro! My bridesmaids also enjoyed having Sonia and her girls there. These ladies were amazing! They had a 2 hour drive to get to our location with the first person having to be done at 6a with a storm brewing. Everyone's hair and makeup came out beautiful and they were there to do any touch up as we walked out the door! I would recommend this venue again. My sister in law, the bride, looked absolutely stunning! A very warm demeanor from them all made everyone comfortable!
Sonia and her team were such a blessing! Due to covid restrictions, we had to wait until the last minute when it came to planning and finalizing for our wedding just in case we had to cancel or postpone. Once we knew we were going to have an elopement ceremony I was in a bit of a panic trying to book a stylist because everyone seemed to be booked or ridiculously expensive. Thankfully, I found Sonia with Tahoe hair n makeup. She immediately put my mind at ease and worked with me to get everything scheduled. Sonia responded to all of my questions in a timely and professional manner. She even scheduled a last-minute trial with me before the wedding. We had 10 people total getting their hair and makeup done, therefore we needed 3 stylists to ensure we got done on time. Unfortunately, we were staying in a cabin that was just about 2hrs away from the stylist, but that didn't stop them from leaving their homes before 4 am to get to us by 6 am, not to mention they drove through a snowstorm to get to us! They not only arrived promptly but were ready to get right to work. Sonia had put together a schedule before the day of the wedding and all three stylists were aware and prepared to stay on schedule. Sonia did both my hair and makeup and I can truly say that she made me feel beautiful on my wedding day, just as a bride should. I have extremely long-thick hair, but that didn't phase her. She made it seem effortless! As anyone can imagine I was a bundle of nerves that morning but Sonia's vibrant personality had me laughing and engaged the entire time. We will be having our reception in April and I can say without a doubt, I will have Sonia and her team booked to do our hair and makeup again. The mere fact that they were able to make 10 women feel beautiful and happy with their hair and makeup speaks volumes about the work they do!
There was 2 stylists and 1 MUA for about 10 girls and these 3 did amazing. Sonia was super friendly and did an amazing job with my hair. I have thick, curly hair, and wanted a half up/down messy braided look and she nailed it. Great conversation, very easy going, and the rest of the team was just the same. I like that they hung out with us while the bride got her hair/make up done and did touch ups before we all left. I highly recommend these ladies due to their friendly nature, quick work, and the quality of their work.
