Erin was my wedding HMUA from Blush n Bangs. She did a wonderful job!! If I could give her 20 stars I would. Booking both my trial and my wedding day was super easy. Erin arrived on time, was super friendly, and did a flawless job. My hair and makeup also stayed pristine throughout the night and through my happy tears.
Brooke and Amber are the best! I had Brooke for my makeup trial and both Brooke and Amber for my bridal makeup and hair along with my bridesmaids, everything was perfect!
Great, affordable hair and makeup team. They made sure they had a timeline they could complete everybody's hair and makeup in and stayed on schedule for the big day. They were very nice and always asking for feedback through the process to make sure we were happy. I received endless compliments on my hair and makeup all throughout the day!
I hired Blush n' bangs several months before my wedding when looking for a company who could do traveling services and were able to do a booking for only ~5 services (1 bridal hair and 1 makeup, and 2 MOH make ups with 1 MOH hair). Erin was AMAZING! Super communicative, easy to talk with during the services, and was exactly who I needed on my big day! The best part is I gave general ideas of what I liked and she ran with it and I looked better than I could've ever imagined!
I've been sitting on writing this review for a few months since my wedding just to be sure I could be fair. There are good and bad things about my experience with hiring Blush n' Bangs for my wedding day. I cannot say I would hire them again and can NOT recommend their services, unfortunately. Good: My makeup artist was a nice person and easy to talk to. She also had good makeup application skills. The owners were responsive to my complaints initially and were willing to try to help make things right. My make ended up looking good on my wedding day. Bad: I cried after my first makeup trial because I really didn't feel beautiful. The makeup artist used a cream foundation on my oily skin and it ended up looking pretty bad. I reached out to the owners of the company and they convinced me to go for a second trial with the same makeup artist as they didn't have any other makeup artists available. So it was either try again or try to book a whole different company two months before my wedding. They encouraged me to reach out to the makeup artist to inquire about different foundations, ensuring me that she would have a different option for me besides the cream foundation. When I did reach out, I found out the makeup artist had the cream foundation and the airbrush makeup and thats it. The makeup artist encouraged me to go find some liquid foundation that works for my skin and bring that to the second trial. It took me a lot of trial and error to find a foundation that worked well for my oily skin and looked good. In fact, I ended up going to see a different makeup artist recommended to me by a friend here in Houston and she helped me. So I ended up bring my own foundation, blush, primer, and under eye concealer for my wedding day makeup. I don't think a bride who is paying a professional makeup artist should have to bring her own supplies. Lastly, my under eye concealer was missing from the makeup I had brought on the day of the wedding. The makeup was contained to one small area and all the other items I brought were there. It was only me and my makeup artist who touched that makeup and there was no way that I took it somewhere else. I believe it was accidentally picked up with other items when my makeup artist was cleaning up and when I reached out to the owners they were not willing to reimburse me saying they could not be responsible for the item since the makeup artist said she didn't have it. This last piece is not really a big deal monetarily, but rather I think it shows the lack of customer oriented service the company has. One tip I would tell brides if you're thinking of booking still with this company or any company is to go to your trial early in the wedding planning process. The way the company works is by contracting independent makeup artists and if for some reason you and your person don't see eye to eye, well then at least you know early and can make other plans.

Both of our vendors were on time. They did my look of a very classic style, to my bridesmaid who were more bohemian and classic or simple,to my mom and my grandma. They were fun and made the process so smooth.
