We hired Hi Focused Cinematography for our recent destination wedding at the Four Seasons Resort in Maui, Hawaii and our experience was nothing short of amazing. Jordan was awesome to work with throughout the entire process. Drone video footage was very important to us and one of the reasons we went with Hi Focused and I’m so glad that we did. Let me just start by giving Jordan and his team a huge round of applause, and a heartfelt thank you! Their work is AMAZING! While planning our destination wedding our coordinator had a short list of preferred videographers, let me tell you HiFocused stood out like no other. They had videos on virtually every social media platform including vimeo for us to check out. Needless to say it was one of the easiest and best wedding decisions to hire them. Their work did all the talking. I had no doubt in my mind that they would execute the perfect wedding film for us. As our wedding date approached, Jordan reached out to schedule a brief phone call to ensure we were all on the same page and set expectations. He also made sure to ask about any special touches that we wanted to be highlighted on the film during the ceremony or any other part of the wedding. I really only had one request and it was to capture some butterfly accents that I had added to our wedding arch that represented lost loved ones for us. A small meaningful touch that only immediate family would have understood. Cut to the wedding day, Jordan and his associate made both my husband and I feel beyond comfortable, and to be honestly it kind of felt like we had known them for a while. That’s how comfortable they made us feel! They did provide general guidance and poses, but it felt very natural. During a few sunset shots I noticed a small butterfly around us and I asked if they could capture it for the video. I didn’t exactly think that they would have captured anything, but I figured that it was worth a shot. Unfortunately, early the next morning I found out that a close relative passed on our wedding date. I know it may sound crazy, but I was convinced that the butterfly was her visiting us in the form of a butterfly. I emailed Jordan, and asked that whenever they got around to editing, IF he happened to get a good shot of it, I would love to have it in the film. He responded within minutes that he would do his best. Before the day was over he had actually gone out of his way to email the clip of the butterfly and a few stills of it as well. My family, husband and I are eternally grateful. I share this to not only highlight how responsive and accommodating they are. They really do go above and beyond their menu list on their website and pamphlet and make it a point to be personable. If you made it this far into my review, don't bother looking into other videographers, you already stumbled across the best team on the Island. Guaranteed!
