We worked with Diane for our small, backyard wedding on Block Island and she was simply incredible. We were two small families coming together as one, and we wanted our ceremony to reflect and honor that. We also wanted everyone there (our parents and our kids) to have a role in the ceremony. We had no idea where to start, but we didn’t need to. Diane met with us through Zoom, to ask questions and listen to the details of our love story and our coming together as one family. What she was able to put together after one call was absolutely beautiful. It was clear that she truly understood and respected our vision, and our story, and pulled it all together into a magical telling of us. Diane was open to our thoughts and feedback throughout the entire process, and honored every request with so much thought and care. In the end, the ceremony that she created for us was worlds beyond what we had ever imagined. It was truly magical. My mother was our officiant, as Diane was not able to join us on Block Island. Our four teenagers and two other parents also had roles in the ceremony. Diane arranged and sent to us a perfectly organized document with each person’s role clearly labeled on separate cards, all we had to do was print everything, and bring it with us. Because of Diane’s work to organize and make things perfectly clear in the documents, there was absolutely no confusion on the day of the wedding. It could not have been easier. She also took all the time we needed to run through the ceremony, detail by detail, to be sure we were comfortable, happy and clear about the flow. Diane took our cloudy vision and created a ceremony so heartfelt and so perfectly reflective of our love story and our new family. Our family, the photographer, and the chef that were there all commented that they had never witnessed something so personal or felt every word so deeply, nor had they witnessed a ceremony that perfectly represented a couple and a family like ours did. Diane is incredible and you should immediately hire her as your officiant. Full stop. From the beginning, she was communicative and explained every single step in the process - from our initial meeting, to her script, the rehearsal, and then our ceremony, we always knew exactly what to expect. She took so much stress out of a huge part of the wedding. In our initial meeting, she truly got to know my fiance and I as a couple and as people, asking how we met, our love story, and what we love about each other. It was really nice just a couple of months before our wedding to express all of that and remind ourselves how we fell in love. Additionally, she made sure to tailor this ceremony exactly to us, our personalities, and our preferences. Within a week of that meeting, she had a script to us and we had another zoom meeting where we went over it. She helped us each individually with our personalized and secret vows, providing guidance and help. At the rehearsal, she was prompt, professional, and told all of us exactly what we needed to do, where we needed to be, and how the ceremony would go. It was a relief to know that everything would go smoothly and we, as the couple, did not need to worry about how things would go. Multiple members of my family expressed how impressed they were with how she conducted the rehearsal and that they did not need to have any concerns about the ceremony either. The ceremony itself was amazing. She has notes but also memorizes part of her script, conveying to the audience a professionalism and a friendliness that puts everyone at ease. I had multiple guests state that she was the best officiant they had ever seen and that they wished they could have had her at their wedding. Diane Gansauer is simply the best at creating meaningful ceremonies. We met with her prior to our wedding for an interview so that she could learn more about us and our unique love story. Then she composed the ceremony and reviewed and revised it with us until it was perfect. Part of our wedding ritual was a hand fasting and Diane was encouraging and confirming about the cords we chose; they were large enough for the audience to see and we selected specific colors to represent the characteristics we wanted to include in our marriage to one another. Diane came prepared in advance to discuss staging and logistics for our outdoor wedding in the Rocky Mountains. She is a very caring and professional Celebrant. And she is an outdoorswoman who does not mind a hike to a special ceremony site! Everyone who attended was very complimentary about the ceremony with comments like, "Amazing", "Best wedding ceremony they had ever seen". I met Diane through my work in funeral service. Diane was AMAZING! Like so many others, we postponed our original date (October 2020), to June 2021. Diane stayed in touch with us the entire time, making the entire process seamless. From our first meeting to the actual day, she was easy to reach, answered all our questions, and gave us excellent advice. She even mails your marriage license to whichever county you need, so you don't have to worry about that post-ceremony! She also wrote an INCREDIBLE ceremony for us. We met a few times in person and over zoom, and filled out her couples questionnaire, and from that, she crafted a genius, romantic, perfectly tailored to us ceremony. She was also at the rehearsal to talk everyone through their roles, their movements, and every little detail you never thought you needed, but totally do need! I cannot recommend her enough :)

And she is an ordained minister with a Masters Degree in Theology and Doctorate of Ministry through The New Seminary, the oldest interfaith seminary in the United States.
