I have nothing but phenomenal things to say about Melia. She is by far the most talented, creative, kind hearted individual you can do business with. We had the pleasure of meeting her over a year ago to shoot our engagement session on the West side of Maui. Before the shoot was even over, I told her I wanted to go ahead and lock her in for our wedding on January 2nd at Haiku Mill. Her response was “I love to hear that but, wait until you get your pictures back from me to make sure you like my work.” I was ready to lock her in on the spot, without seeing any of her work - my gut was just telling me…this lady is the real deal and she’s extremely talented! Turns out, I knew it and I was right! Our engagement pictures were beyond perfection! An entire year went by and she showed up to Haiku Mill a few weeks ago ready to get to it and create magic! Within seconds, she was putting together a board of our wedding invitation, rings and accessories to showcase the entire spread and little details. I swear, Melia is the only person who can make a board look that good…my sisters and I looked at each other and said “how did she just do that?” Well, it’s her expertise and vision coming to life! We received our pictures last night from our wedding and we are over the moon in love with each and every photograph. I have been sitting here scrolling through them for over 8 hours now. The pictures are absolutely breathtaking and once again, Melia blew me away! I knew she was extremely talented based on our engagement session, her social media and portfolio on her website. However, after receiving our wedding gallery this morning, I have realized she’s beyond talented...Melia is truly an artist. These aren't just photographs...what I'm looking at is a work of art. Melia deserves to be on the front cover of every magazine that's ever issued! We are all just in complete awe. So thank you Melia for capturing all of these beautiful moments and spending the day with us. It was truly a pleasure getting to know you and I wish you all the best! My parents already said when the time comes for my sisters to get married, you best bet you are going to be there!! Melia is incredibly talented and I cannot recommend her enough! She made my husband and I feel comfortable and right at ease when we met her on our wedding day. She is a master of her craft and very professional. During a lull in the rain on our wedding day, she took us to the beach for more photos. The rain started again and Melia did not flinch and made sure we got every shot we wanted. We were soaking wet and worried the photos would reflect that but were joyfully surprised how well they turned out. One thing in particular that I loved about working with Melia, was the directions she provided to make sure we got the perfect image. Sometimes you wish the photographer had told you to fix one small thing that would’ve made the picture better, Melia does that and I genuinely appreciated the guidance. Overall, Melia is a lovely person and an amazing photographer!
Melia has photographed our family from the time we got engaged to family portraits with our three kids. She was professional and friendly throughout the entire process and the photos were beautiful, editorial quality. She has a keen and artistic eye for light, movement and posing. Before our wedding we had multiple conversations about what I was looking for, style, locations, must haves etc. She did site visits to my venue beforehand and even scouted for other convenient locations. On the day of the wedding she was focused and provided lots of direction to people to ensure we had variety in our shots but was also quick so it didn't feel like we spent the entire day taking photos. When you see her in action you can see the creativity wheels turning in her mind, she can see the shot and will do what she needs to to capture it - even if it includes wading into water up to her knees. You will not end up with just the usual wedding photos and moments using Melia, she is also able to create editorial/fashion images if you want them. Lastly, if you are interested at all in wedding albums, hers are the best I have ever seen. Beautifully curated fully customizable books. I wanted to be very involved in the selection of the photos for the album and Melia must have spent hours and hours with me on it and she was happy to do it. I could not recommend her more to anyone looking for a photographer.

Melia was the photographer for our wedding and our engagement photos on Maui - I would hands down choose her again a million times over! I could not recommend her photography services more. Photography was non-negotiable top priority for our wedding, so I spent hours researching options all over Hawaii and California. She does not have as much of an online presence as some other photographers, but do not let that deter you (be sure to check out her instagram and website!). Once I contacted her and looked at her portfolio I knew she was the perfect choice. Her photography skills run the gamut from stunningly beautiful to raw emotion, and everything in between. She took to heart every single one of my requests (and I had quite a few) regarding my preferred angles, style of photos (large scale environmental shots and lots of greenery), detail shots, etc. She has a calm and collected nature, which make her very pleasant and easy to work with (I'm speaking for two introverts here). We not only had amazing photos from our engagement shoot along the road to Hana, but it was such a wonderful scenic adventure that she created for us. Every time I look back through all of the photos I find a new hidden gem that instantly becomes my new favorite. We also ordered a photo album to capture the events as a first anniversary present and could not be more pleased! I hope to be able to find an excuse to work with her again some day, just as soon as I figure out how to manage a little more wall space to accommodate all of her amazing work.
