He took a lot of stress off us by making sure every detail of our ceremony was thought out and took us through every step of planning out a customized ceremony that felt authentic to us as a couple and that was the best way to start our lives together. He also came to the rehearsal at our venue and made sure we knew exactly how the ceremony would run so we felt at ease the day of. Michael did an incredible job! My husband and I were scrambling to plan a small wedding in Chicago after we cancelled our big wedding. Michael was great with being flexible, accommodating, professional, and responsive. The entire ceremony went smoothly thanks to Michael. His ceremony script was warm, humorous, authentic, and really focused on capturing a bit about each of us, our love, and us entering a new journey in our life of husband and wife.
Michael was wonderful - he officiated an at-home elopement for us in our living room, which we also live-streamed over Zoom to friends and family. He let us customize everything and made sure we were comfortable with how the ceremony would go. He also was extremely flexible and adaptable when we (unsurprisingly) ended up running late. Highly recommend!

We used Michael Moody as our officiant in 2016 and had a great experience! Michael was professional and very responsive from the first time we contacted him. When we first met with him to discuss our wedding and our relationship he showed that he was interested in learning about us and performing a ceremony that fit our needs. He also brought up things we had not considered, but ultimately allowed us to determine the structure of the ceremony. Michael was thorough at the rehearsal and made sure the entire wedding party (and family) knew their role for the following day. Michael performed a beautiful ceremony that was as intimate and genuine as we had hoped. It was a pleasure working with Michael and we would certainly recommend him to others!
