Do yourself a favor and hire Spin The Dial ASAP!!! Planning a wedding during this pandemic was interesting, to say the least. We had to change plans/venues multiple times and ultimately downsize our guest list to just family. But from the beginning we knew that our video would be the most important part for us! Candice was absolutely amazing to work with.. I felt so comfortable with her from our first phone call. Not to mention, she was incredibly flexible when crazy last minute changes happened! She kept us laughing the whole day and was able to really capture us in a such an easygoing and natural way. You can tell how much time and effort she puts into her work.. our video turned out AMAZING! I've watched it about a million times and our families rave about it. (Making people cry left and right lol!) Ohhh and lastly, i have to mention that i especially love how she can mix in the Retro 16mm kodak film!!! It really gives it such a unique feel. Seriously, 5 stars is not enough :)
Candice is truly amazing! She is a true artist! I had an amazing opportunity to work alongside with Candice on an elopement in Joshua Tree National Park. From the moment I arrived at the Airbnb she was so welcoming and joyful! She makes you feel appreciated and comfortable to be around with. She's very organized and is skilled at capturing moments organically. She also understands that capturing a wedding/elopement day is a team effort and both photographer and videographer must be able to work cohesively. Hire her now! Not only will you receive amazing work from her but she's a blast to be around with. I'm very particular with people I collaborate with and I highly recommend her for her professionalism and skills!
I hired Spin The Dial to re-edit my already filmed wedding video (using the raw footage). Last year I got married in November. Long story short, I quickly chose my videographer without doing proper research (not recommended). About a month after our wedding I received our wedding video and I cried. It was nothing that I wanted. I don't want to go into why this video was not good, but frankly I realized that I was not going to get a product I'd be proud of even if I had the videographer re-edit the video. I was a member of a Facebook page for brides and vendors, and I saw Spin The Dial Films (Candice) post on there that she re-edits videos. I took a look at her films and they were BEAUTIFUL! After going back and forth via email, about things I didn't like in my video, I quickly had total faith in Candice that she would be able to re-edit this to at least show a film that captured my wedding that I thoroughly loved. I received my video about a month after paying her the deposit, and I cried (this time out of extreme joy). Candice wasn't even at my wedding, and yet she captured the emotions, the fun, and all the little nuonces that I remember from that day back in November 2019. I can't even imagine what a video would have looked like, had she filmed the wedding herself, and I don't care at this point. She made my dream come true. If you are an unhappy bride with your wedding video, or if you are looking for a videographer, this company and Candice Nachman go above and beyond!!
Spin the Dial captured my micro wedding in Joshua Tree beautifully! CJ & Candice both communicated with my family, husband, and I wonderfully to ensure we were all happy with everything not only during the wedding, but during the editing process as well. The finished product was beautiful, better than I could have hoped for. So happy with our wedding video, something we'll have forever to remember our special day!

During the ceremony and reception, she managed to blend into the crowd as to not interfere with any proceedings but still captured the most amazing footage. Watching our wedding video allowed us to re-live the big day and appreciate special moments all over again, many of which we didn't have enough time to truly take in during the wedding itself. It was also very impressive how she blended our vows and speeches perfectly into footage she shot during the day. We loved our finished video and are so happy we chose Spin the Dial as our wedding videographer. :)

We both started crying when we watched our full wedding video. She not only perfectly captured the big moments from our wedding day, but she captured so many special, small moments that really add a level of intimacy to the wedding video and show who we are as a couple. Multiple people were shocked to hear that we had a videographer at the wedding, which is the biggest testament to Candice's ability to stay under the radar and not distract from the day's events. I reached out to Robert for our wedding and the entire process leading up to the wedding was as easy as can be! He had great communication and was a very kind and down-to-earth person to work with. Due to some very unfortunate events, Robert was unable to cover our wedding so Candice (who was supposed to be the second shooter) took the lead and brought an assistant. Robert still did the editing and I was blown away by how he still managed to portray the vibe and essence of our big day without even being there. Candice and the second shooter did a phenomenal job capturing the "little" moments and I couldn't be happier with our decision to go with Spin the Dial.

The documentary she created is moving and tells a story about my personal journey and why I became an artist. We had a plan of action on the day of the shoot. We shot a documentary in my art studio gallery in Downtown Los Angeles and then we shot some great footage at the beach. I love the documentary she created and I can't wait to work with her again. I highly recommend her to my artist friends and also to those getting married.

I am a filmmaker and photographer based in Los Angeles & Joshua Tree California. In 2016 I received Masters in Film from UCLA and before that I recieved my BFA in Photography in my home-state of Colorado in 2010. I've been formally studying and creating with a camera for over 20 years.
One of my favorite places to be is in the front row seat of your wedding day. I feel so lucky and fortunate to have captured so many intimate and honest moments for some of the greatest people! I started filming weddings in 2013 and have created over 400 wedding films since then.
The name, Spin the Dial, comes from a spontaneous trip to Mexico that an old friend and I took in 2010. To me it represents taking a chance and being fearless, which is where all the best art is made.
