Nate, Amanda and Igor were fantastic to work with! Incredibly responsive, extremely communicative, and just captured amazing photos of us and all our guests. Igor was the photographer on site, and he made sure we got all the pictures and setups we wanted. And at the same time, he was able to seamlessly blend in so get some great candid shots. We loved working with The Shalom Imaginative!! We were trying to find a photographer rather last minute for our intimate family wedding, and reached out less than 2 months before our event. Nate was super responsive and helpful in talking us through our options with them. He was also very attentive and understanding of our concerns regarding safety in the pandemic. Communication before, during, and after our event was so easy and transparent. We never felt rushed or pushed to make a decision until we were ready. The actual day, we had Vanessa photograph our wedding and Sloane on video. We met with both Nate and Vanessa before the wedding to talk through the schedules and ideas, and it was super helpful. Nate even found a location close to the wedding where we could escape for sunset photos. Both Vanessa and Sloane were wonderful to work with during the day. They were the perfect mix of blending in to capture the day without being intrusive, but also helpful and fun to chat with and it felt like they were one of the guests. They were flexible throughout the evening, and had great suggestions on where the best photos would be and great ideas. We felt comfortable and relaxed in front of the camera. We love the style of the photos, nothing is too stylized or feels fake. When we look at our photos, we feel like the best version of ourselves. The photos and videos really capture the intimacy, beauty, and fun from our wedding. We would love to work with The Shalom Imaginative again, and look forward to it!

I have worked with Nate a few times and I have to say, this time he went above an beyond for my clients. Covid brought many challenges and Nate was so accommodating when we had to move dates, venues, adjust guest size and just about everything. He had a great live stream system and worked very closely with our live musician and technicians to make sure everything was perfect. I would absolutely recommend Nate and his team at Shalom Imaginative and hope we can work together again soon!
We had our wedding planned for 2020 but had to cancel because of COVID. Nate was really flexible working with us to instead have a small wedding with just a few people and to capture that and to livestream it to everyone who couldn’t be there. Can’t say enough good about how they helped us still have a fun wedding even in the midst of everything.
My fiancé and I hired Nate for our recent engagement shoot. He was super communicative and made the process streamlined and straight forward. This was our first time taking professional photos, and Nate made it feel familiar yet special for us. We had nearly hired another photographer prior to discovering The Shalom Imaginative, but we are so happy we went in this direction. Nate understood our vision, choosing the perfect time of day to get the colours and lighting we desired, and truly capturing the essence of our relationship. He made us feel natural and excited about the experience, rather than awkward and uncomfortable. It's like we had known him for years! As far as the day of the shoot went, Nate was punctual, courteous, and professional. We shot for 2+ hours and it flew by! We received our album less than 2 weeks later, with more than 250 amazing photos included - UNREAL! Note that our first shoot location was so so so windy, and he still managed to capture multiple great images!! The feedback we have received from family and friends on the images and album has been overwhelmingly positive. I cannot say enough good things about Nate and The Shalom Imaginative, and we hope that we can work with him/them again in the future!
Nate and his team were amazing! He took my engagement photos along with capturing my wedding. They did such a great job running the livestream for my wedding, capturing stunning photos with their own personal style, and making me and everyone else feel at ease. Nate’s team captures beautiful “editorial/magazine” style images that I LOVED! It was different and fun and it was just the style I wanted to capture the sweet sweet memories from this special day! I highly recommend the Shalom Imaginative for any event!
Nate was the most amazing photographer / videographer we could have asked for! Our wedding got postponed because of Covid and they were so understanding and accommodating. And even in 100 plus degree heat somehow Nate and his team were able to capture amazing photos while keeping the heat in mind for us and the guests. They also took drone photos which turned out phenomenal! Beyond the quality of their work they are the sweetest and easiest people to work with which made all the difference!
