South Coast Botanic Garden sits on the Palos Verdes Peninsula, with its address in Palos Verdes Estates, California. It is an 87-acre outdoor garden venue, set among open meadows and planted gardens, and works for couples who want a ceremony and reception outdoors in a garden.
Couples can choose from several outdoor spaces. The Upper Meadow is the largest, with a gazebo, two pergolas and wide views, and it holds up to 1,000 guests standing. The Lower Meadow has a rustic wooden gazebo and shady trees, and seats up to 300. The Rose Garden and the Amphitheater each hold up to 150 guests, and the Rose Garden also works for a cocktail hour or evening reception. The Koi Pond Patio, for up to 100 guests, is set up for cocktails. Across the property, the venue can host up to 300 seated guests and up to 1,000 standing.
The Garden is a venue-only rental. There is no in-house catering, and outside caterers are welcome. There is no on-site lodging, so guests stay nearby. Packages start at $3,000.
