What's the maximum number of guests we can have?

The maximum is 175 seated guests or up to 200 for a standing cocktail reception. If you're planning for 150 or more guests, security is required.

What does the venue rental include?

The rental includes 10 hours of venue access, setup and cleanup, event staff, dance floor, dressing rooms, a bridal suite, groom's suite, liability insurance, and 1 hour of complimentary bridal photos plus 1 hour for rehearsal.

How much does it cost to rent the venue?

Accepted Answer

Off-peak rental rates start at $4,500, and peak season rates start at $5,500. Pricing varies based on the season and day of the week. A 50% deposit is required to secure your date.

Can we bring our own caterer and alcohol?

Accepted Answer

You must choose a caterer from the venue's Preferred Vendor List, though food trucks are permitted with advance notice. BYOB is allowed with no corkage fee, but you'll need to hire an approved bartending service from their recommended vendor list.

Question 5

What if we want live musicians at our reception?

Accepted Answer

Live musicians are welcome for the ceremony and cocktail hour only. For the reception, you must hire a DJ from the venue's recommended vendor list.

Question 6

How much parking is available, and what about overnight parking?

Accepted Answer

There's free parking for 100 vehicles, including vendor vehicles. Overnight parking is available, and vehicles can be picked up between 9am and 12pm the following day. Charter buses and food trucks can access via large gates.

What are your decoration and sparkler policies?

Accepted Answer

Sparklers are permitted, but only 20-inch metal wire sparklers are allowed. Candles are okay in containers that catch dripping wax. Fireworks and smoke bombs are not permitted. Live flowers and decorative items from the preferred vendor list are encouraged.

What happens if it rains on our wedding day?

The 3,200 sq ft reception pavilion is climate-controlled with glass panel walls and can be reconfigured for the ceremony during inclement weather. Your event will stay comfortable and protected.

Question 9

Is the venue LGBTQ+ friendly and pet-friendly?

Accepted Answer

Yes to both! Hummingbird House celebrates all couples. Pets are welcome with advance notice, including service animals and furry wedding party members.

Question 10

What are the peak and off-peak seasons?

Accepted Answer

Peak months are March, April, May, October, and November. Off-peak months are January, February, June, July, September, and December.
